"You didn't explain the code"

date: July 7, 2008

The absolutely most useful thing you could have done was explain the code. You didn't do that. Explaining the code teaches them how to change it to their own game, or how to use the same commands in a different situation.

"Um, why only one picture?"

submission: 2MusVid
date: December 19, 2007

It is usually a good idea to have an animation. If you can't do that, than at least a slide show. Something other than just a picture of mayonase. Please.

The Hobbit - Act I

"Great, hilarious, you spoke too fast"

submission: The Hobbit - Act I
date: November 22, 2007

This was great. It was hilarious. "Get me a yam, all mashed up!" "Yes sir!". But, you spoke too fast in the beginning. There also wasn't enough pause between the speakers in the beginning. But other than that, it was great.
Also, how did you get that texture, that made everything look rough, like a page from a book? Is it a filter?
Also, when we see (or don't see) Bilbo hiding in the dark and we only see his eyes, it just looks like floating eyes because of the texture. However, in all other places, the texture makes it look very storybookish, which I think you said was the intent.

Laser Defense

"Where are the instructions?"

submission: Laser Defense
date: October 8, 2007

I'm sorry for the low ratings, but I will give a low score to a game that I can't play. When I clicked "instruction" all it gave me were some unexplanitory pictures and a lot of "undefined"s. Some help please.

Author's Response:

yes, the text for those two sections is in an external file and for some reason when i posted it to newgrounds that file will not resolve. It works on another website however, the forum in the description of the game towerdefence.net

EverythingYouKnowIsWrong

"Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!"

date: September 26, 2007

This was great!!! I love the song, but the animation was even better. This is one of the most skillful animations I've ever seen. I work with flash myself (nothing good enough to submit yet though) and I have no idea how you did some techniques other than frame by frame! With the complexity of many of the characters used, frame by frame must have been incredibly hard. You must tell me though, how did you get the static effect during the credits frame at the end?

September 26, 2007

Author's Response:

I went into Paint Shop Pro, turned the density really low on the brush, and just made a bazillion layers of different colors. Then I probably used a few filters but I don't remember which.

Then, I just imported it into flash, made it into a symbol, and made it a loop where it just moved around to a different spot every frame. Then I just made a mask layer above that, and filled in wherever I wanted it to show.

"Love your animation style"

date: June 27, 2007

Not as good a song as his many, many great others, but I love your animation style. It has to have some of the greatest shape tweens I ever saw. Not to mention (but I'm mentioning it now) the way that you made it look like it was drawn on paper. That was incredible.

Author's Response:

wow
im glad u liked it so much
thanks alot

"Nice animation style"

date: June 22, 2007

This was a great animation style. Although each character didn't move much, the v-cam moved a lot. Nice choice of song by the way.

You Make Me

"Incredible"

submission: You Make Me
date: June 22, 2007

That was incredible. I love your style. You have to be one of the most skillful animators I have ever seen. Your animation went well with an already great song, and the animation made it even funnier. Glad to see that you're a Weird Al fan as well. Just wondering, did you actually show this at your wedding reception, and if you did, what was the response?

"One More Minute"

"Great, but it just stops..."

submission: "One More Minute"
date: June 14, 2007

It's great! Love(/broke up with :)) the song, great animation, love your animation style. However, the song and animation inexplicably stop right after "you aint gonna break my heart in two". Every single time. Though maybe that's just my computer because it seems to love stopping flash movies midway through. A brand new hobby for my laptop.

Author's Response:

Ah, it's your computer. I went a little filter-heavy on that part (the blur effect), so chances are it will get either VERY choppy or just stop for a while right there. If your right-click isn't disabled (though I set it up to where it should be), then you can change the Quality to Low at around that point, but most of the movie I feel is best viewed at what I set.
Thanks for reviewing!

MGS: Shopping

"Good but you should add vocals"

submission: MGS: Shopping
date: May 7, 2007

It was good. There was great animation. I love the bobble-head style. (To all you past reviewers: The head isn't a mistake. He is famous [well, sort of] for his bobble-head style. He uses it to show emotion.) You really need to add vocals during the Otacon and Snake dialog. I know that you have a microphone. There were other vocals in here. The jokes were ok. You could have done better. Then again, this is one of your earlier flashes. Overall: Good, but you could have done (and you have done in other flashes) much better.
